Charged 80 dollars for a smog check on a 2018 car that only took ~10 minutes to plug and check. Seemed steep compared to other prices around the area. Also, I was already plugged into the machine when the price was presented to me.

Called around and everyone wanted to charge $130 for an oil change on a ford explorer. Speedy quoted me $95. They looked over and found two filters that needed to be replaced. Ended up spending more money than I intended to. But they were fair and honest. Overall I’m happy with the experience.

This is a family owned shop, and I really feel confident bringing my car here. I’m always treated with kindness and respect, I love the fact that I’m always shown the parts that were replaced and what was going wrong with them. Speedy Auto Repair is a great mechanic shop to take your car to the Point Loma.
